WorkCover claims, managed properly.
WorkCover certificates, review consultations and return-to-work coordination, handled directly with your employer and insurer by the WorkCover doctor Carindale workers turn to, so you are not stuck relaying information between the two.
WorkCover claims and consultations
If you have had a workplace injury, our GPs prepare initial WorkCover certificates and conduct the review consultations needed as you recover, coordinating return-to-work plans directly with your employer and insurer wherever possible. As the WorkCover doctor Carindale employers and insurers can contact directly, we keep your claim moving without you passing messages between the two.
- Initial WorkCover certificates for workplace injuries
- Ongoing review consultations as you recover
- Return-to-work plans coordinated with your employer
- Direct liaison with your insurer where appropriate
- Referrals arranged for physiotherapy or specialist review
- Bulk billed for accepted WorkCover claims
- WorkCover doctor Carindale appointments available for new and ongoing claims

Your consultation
Your GP will assess your injury, complete the initial certificate outlining your capacity for work, and explain what happens next in the claims process. If you need time off or modified duties, this is documented clearly for your employer.
As you recover, review consultations track your progress and update your certificate and return-to-work plan as needed.

Booking your appointment
Book an appointment as soon as possible after a workplace injury. Let reception know it is for a WorkCover matter so the right paperwork is ready.
- Book promptly after a workplace injury
- Bring details of how and when the injury happened
- Bring your employer's incident report if available
- Mention your employer and insurer details if known
- Ask about ongoing review appointments as you recover
If your claim has not yet been accepted by your insurer, your GP can still assess and treat you, and will explain how billing works in the meantime.

Through your recovery
Your GP will continue to see you for review consultations throughout your recovery, adjusting your certificate and return-to-work plan as your condition changes.
- Regular review consultations as you recover
- Certificates updated to reflect your current capacity
- Return-to-work plans coordinated with your employer
- Referrals arranged for physiotherapy or specialist care
If your recovery is not progressing as expected, your GP will discuss further options, including specialist referral or adjustments to your treatment plan.
- Physiotherapy and allied health referrals arranged as needed
- Specialist referral if recovery is more complex
- Records kept with your file for the duration of your claim
- Same GP wherever possible for continuity through your claim
WorkCover consultations are one of the workplace-related services we provide, alongside driver medicals and urine and drug testing.
