Your appointment
Before the examination, your GP will run through your sun exposure history, any family history of skin cancer, and anything you have noticed changing. The check itself is done under bright lighting, covering areas you might not think to check yourself.
A standard appointment runs about fifteen to twenty minutes. Where a spot warrants a closer look, your GP will talk through the next step immediately rather than leaving you to wonder.
